Chat Without Permanent Registration

Funchat Beta does not offer public member registration. Instead, adults enter with a temporary guest identity that is designed for the current chat session and expires after inactivity.

What you enter before joining

A guest provides a display name, country, gender-based avatar style, age, and an optional short bio. You must confirm an age of at least 18. Funchat does not ask a guest for an email address, password, phone number, or social-media account.

Your display name, country flag, age, avatar, and optional bio can be viewed by other participants through your profile. Choose details that help conversation without revealing sensitive personal information.

How a temporary guest session works

The browser receives a short-lived access token and a protected refresh session. Closing a tab does not immediately erase the identity because brief disconnections are normal on mobile networks. Logging out deletes the guest identity, and inactive guest identities are automatically removed after the beta retention window.

If a deleted guest returns, they create a new identity. Old public messages may remain without an active profile where retention is needed for conversation continuity, security, or moderation evidence.

Registration-free does not mean rule-free

Temporary access reduces signup friction, but every guest is still subject to rate limits, community rules, automated sharing protection, reports, mutes, and administrator sanctions. A ban applies to the current guest identity and related security controls.

  • Adults only: guests must be 18 or older
  • External links and contact-detail sharing are blocked
  • Reports enter an administrator review queue
  • Repeated policy violations can lead to a mute or ban

When an account-based service may be better

A temporary guest product is useful for spontaneous conversation, but it is not designed for long-term identity, contacts, account recovery, or permanent message archives. If those features matter to you, use a service built around durable accounts instead.
