A focused text chat experience
Many chat websites immediately ask for a permanent profile, a download, or access to a camera. Funchat keeps the experience focused on written conversation. Choose a display name, confirm that you are 18 or older, select your country and avatar style, and enter General Chat.
General Chat is the only public room during the beta. Keeping one shared room makes it easier to understand where conversation is happening and gives the moderation team a clear place to enforce the community guidelines.
From a public room to private chat
The online-members panel shows active participants with their display name, country flag, and avatar. Select a participant to start a private text conversation. Unread counters appear on the Chats icon and beside the relevant conversation.
Private chat is not a promise of secrecy or end-to-end encryption. It means the conversation is visible only to its participants and authorized administrators when review is required for safety, reports, or legal compliance.
What free means in the beta
There are no paid plans, premium rooms, credits, or checkout screens in Phase 1. Funchat also does not support media uploads, voice calls, or video calls. This keeps loading fast and reduces the amount of personal material participants can accidentally share.

Use the room respectfully
Funchat is an adult community, not an unmoderated space. Do not share phone numbers, email addresses, social-media handles, or external links in messages. Use Mute when you do not want to hear from someone and Report when a message may break the rules.

Do I need to download an app?
No. Funchat works in a modern browser. On supported Android and desktop browsers, you can optionally install the progressive web app.

No. The beta is intentionally text-only and does not include media uploads, voice, or video.
