Privacy Policy

Guest entry collects a display name, country, avatar gender/style selection, age and optional bio. We also process public and private text messages, reports and mute choices. Do not enter sensitive personal data.

We process session identifiers, security tokens, approximate connection metadata, hashed IP-derived security values, user-agent information, timestamps and operational logs. Refresh credentials use a secure HTTP-only cookie; theme and session-protection values use local browser storage.

We use data to authenticate a guest session, deliver messages, show presence and read status, prevent abuse, investigate reports, enforce sanctions, diagnose failures and secure the service. We do not sell personal information.

Logging out deletes the guest identity and its active private conversations. Guest identities are also removed after 24 hours of inactivity. Public-room messages and moderation evidence may remain after identity deletion with the author reference removed, where needed for conversation continuity, security or abuse review.

Funchat does not currently load advertising cookies or ad units. If advertising is enabled later, ads will be limited to eligible public information pages—not private chat—and consent controls required by applicable regions will be enabled before personalized advertising is requested.
