Why the beta has one public room
Empty room lists make a small beta feel confusing. Funchat brings the community together in General Chat so a new guest knows exactly where to begin. The room card and its full surface are clickable on mobile, and the room header provides a dedicated members button.
A single room also gives moderators a consistent place to watch reports and respond to harmful behavior while the community is still small.
See who is available to chat
Open the members panel to view participants who currently have an active realtime connection. Each entry includes an automatically assigned avatar, display name, and country flag. Selecting someone opens or resumes a private conversation.
Presence can change quickly when a phone switches network, sleeps, or closes the browser. Funchat updates the online state through its realtime connection and refreshes the member list when that state changes.
Keep private messages organized
The Chats area lists one-to-one conversations. A green count identifies exactly how many unread messages belong to each conversation, while the main Chats navigation badge shows the total. Opening the conversation marks the messages as read and sends a read receipt.
Control who can reach you
Mute hides a participant’s messages and suppresses their private-message alerts and unread counts. Report is available when content may violate the rules. Notifications are reserved for moderation warnings, sanctions, report outcomes, and service announcements.

How many public rooms are available?
Funchat Beta currently has one public room, General Chat. This is intentional for the first 500 active users.
Can I see who is online?
Yes. The room header has a members button that opens the current online-member list.
What happens when I mute someone?
Their messages are hidden from your history and realtime view, and their private-message alerts and unread counters are suppressed while the mute is active.
