How Temporary Guest Chat Accounts Work

Funchat asks for a display name, age, country, gender selection for the default avatar set, and an optional bio. Guests must be at least 18. These visible profile details help participants understand who they are addressing without creating a permanent consumer account.

Mobile browsers regularly sleep, switch networks, and reload tabs. A short-lived access token and a protected refresh session let the same guest reconnect after an ordinary interruption. This avoids creating a new identity every time a phone changes between Wi-Fi and mobile data.

Logging out is an intentional end to the current guest identity. The server revokes its sessions and removes the guest profile according to the beta account lifecycle. Returning later means choosing fresh guest details rather than recovering the deleted identity with an email or password.

Deleting a guest identity does not guarantee that every detached message, report, or enforcement record disappears at the same moment. Limited records may remain for conversation continuity, abuse investigation, security, or legal obligations as described in the Privacy Policy and retention rules.

Temporary chat is designed for spontaneous conversation, not durable contacts, account recovery, long-term archives, confidential business, or emergency communication. Keep important conversations in a service built for permanent identity and use Funchat only for low-risk social text chat.
